    Question R9700 use external 4pin power, so is it useless increasing VD Volt. in Mobo?

    so it wont help OCing right?

    the 12v line is supplemental and has power regulators on the card that keep the running voltage in spec . the 12v helps keep the current stable w/ the high draw of these cards . the actual running voltage remains the same you just have more amps to draw on . increasing the agp slot voltage will have the card running overvolted .
