    Opinions

alright im going to try and setup a couple of dedicated folding rigs and was just wondering about what you guys think on a couple of things

Obviosly you all prefer AMD over Intel so we wont go into that

    1) What OS is better for folding win2kpro or mandrake (others?) Linux? does it make any difference?

    2) also is it better to run the graphical or console version of F@H?

im assuming that it doesnt really matter one way or the other, just wondering what you guys think

    Thanks for your replies,
    Sean

AMD Machines will out fold Intel's But with the gromacs cored work units the 2 are close to each other if you have a hyperthreaded CPU.
Windows fold faster than linux does and the console version is the fastest of the of the 2 clients. It also will create less problems while playing a game

For dedicated rigs I prefer either a Duallie AMD or a Duallie XEON
The best folder I have is a Dual 2400 AMD followed closely by a Dual Xeon 2800

But that is in the perfect world.
