    Unhappy can u use DDR with intel P4?

    i mean is it alright to use

    Not pc2100, you would need pc3200 or equivalently overclockable memory to be able to achieve 800fsb, its a 200mhz bus thats quad pumped to deliver the advertised 800fsb bandwidth.

    But you still can "use" it, there are some sticks of PC2100 that will reach 200mhz (although not many ) With a locked multiplier you will be underclocked to whatever your ram will allow.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think some P4 mobos allow CUP and Memory to run at different FSB?

    The performance will suffer as an result of memory running slower than CPU, but you will still get CPU speed?
