    Talking

Thanks Tek,I tried 3.3 but took along time to run.Heard a lot of talk about 3.0 being faster but I cant seem to find it,maybe they removed the link after the newer version came out...also my system locks up sometimes after its about a third the way thru it,disabled the screen saver..but cant figure out what causes it...could it be the 4 in 1 driver loaded in turbo mode??Everything else runs normal, games ect..........just seti locks it up!!

Read the help file in 3.3, they say something to the matter of 3.3 does more than 3.0 that's why it's slower. I've notice temps never seen on this system since I built it so looks like it's putting a stress on components. If SETI is locking you up, you must not have found a stable setting yet. One thing I've noticed, my "slow" PIII800 is putting a hurt on this Athlon, but I've been doing other things too.

    lockups in 3.0

I've had problems with 3.0 locking up my system...not 3.03. I wanted to run 3.0, but due to the lockups I was forced to upgrade to the (much slower) 3.03. I guess it's for the science, though I'm HiFidelityX in the SETI team, btw

Fine69 install SETI Spy and you can see a star map of the area you are processing. Really nice also has weblinks. Get that rocking system you are building together and join the Fun here at the POND!!!

TBirdAlex did you try the setiathome-3.0.i486-nonintel-winnt-cmdline ver??? It is for AMD machines that have problems with the setiathome-3.0.i386-winnt-cmdline ver. Have you joined yet?

well my litttle MMX system I have now with 300mhz and 64 megs is still only aobut 20% done with the first unit. And a ton of cpu time. ITS cute pathetic but cute. Soon i'll have tow boxes crunching and much faster speeds.
