    Help me picking memory.

I'll be getting a Barton 2500+ + new memory soon but I can't decide if I should get Kingston HyperX PC2700 or Kingston value RAM. those are my only two options, since other brands are very expensive in my country (I am not in the US).

I do plan to overclock the Barton but nothing extreme (I would be happy with a 190MHz FSB).

    what stick should be better?

it is hard to find that stuff here... the only respected brands I could find were Kingston and Corsair. Corsair is way too expensive for me.

just for comparasion, these are the cheapest prices I've found in my country:

    ingston HyperX 512MB PC-2700 333MHz DDR CL2 KHX2700/512 - R$ 316,92 (~U$102,00)

    Corsair TWINX512-2700LL 512MB DDR333 XMS2700 Dual-Channel Memory w/Heat Spreader - R$ 558,58 (~U$ 180,00)

that's a big difference, that's why I have to choose between the PC2700 HyperX or value PC3200 (almost the same price as a PC2700 HyperX stick).

well... you will have a tough time getting the value ram to 190fsb, possibly even at low timings. Kingston value is not built for overclockers whatsoever...

the hyperx should get you to 190 pretty easily with tight timings, however.

I mean, it's really dependent on how much money you really want to spend. You spend more, you get more.

I noticed you have an Epox 8RDA+ mobo in your sig. Have you asked around the Epox forum? I'm sure they would be able to help you find the kind of memory that will work on your board.

I pretty sure kingston 3200 vauleram would do 190Mhz. It may not be for overclockers, but I'm sure underclocking is ok.

I'd probably go with the 3200, reason being...your next motherboard might be DDR400 only, or your next CPU might be a 400Mhz FSB, so less chance of having to upgrade your ram if you have PC3200.
