    9000 vs 9200

How much better is the new Mobility Radeon 9200 than the older 9000. I have a difficult time finding detailed specs for the 9200. It seems that they are both directx 8 cards.

    I tend to agree.

The R9200 and 9000 are about the same I think. Maybe the 9200 has a higher clock..not sure.

If you want the DX9 mobile ATi card, go with the R9600.

    9200 is a 9000 with AGP 8x.

In other words, they're the same card, so just close your eyes and pick one.

Actually I don't care about directx 9. I just wanted to know if similarly equipped laptop with 9200 would outperform the 9000.

    Please watch the language! Thanks

Probably the difference wouldn't be noticable at all...If you find a laptop with the 9000 that you like and the 9200 isn't an option...go with the 9000...you may see a 1-2FPS difference in the utterly intense games...but I doubt you'll be playing those on your laptop anyhow.

Oh yeah, I have the 9000 and it runs great
