hehe... how much did you spend on that card? If you would've checked the forums, there are hundreds and hundreds of threads telling everyone NOT to buy any GeForce FX cards below 5900...

I had one too, and couldn't get over 9000...traded it strait up for a Radeon 9500 Pro and get 11800+ without any overclocking.

    3D Mark 2001 and reality

tell ya what, a 5600 FX Ultra 256 MB for 139 shipped aint too shabby. The buyer gets a huge amount of ram, and DX 9 support.
This from a ATI fan all the way. But my son likes nVidia for compatibilty and the fact that most kids are brain washed to say "GeForce 4, must have GF4 " ~

just because it got a mediocre 3DM2K score doesnt tell the whole story of a card

not exactly the best value for money this card is (my best attempt at yoda speak)

edit: you could return the card if you have a good relationship with the retailer you got it from and then ask for a replacement

maybe even sell the card and get a better one, when you upgrade

but you have direct x 9 support and could get a better overclock with it when you mod it

    which brand is it?

Click the link below my sig, I scored over 14K w/ a Ti4200. The image quality is a lot better then the Ti series though plus I can play DX9 games. I pretty much stole the card for 129.00. It's an Asylem or something like that, don't really feel like going and gettin the box.

Calm down, take a deep breath!!! Feel better? I agree with IQJUMPuw about the state of FX cards, you should of bothered to read the post about the 5600 FX or gone for the 5600FX Rev 2, which has held its own amoung the ATI 9600 Pro & 9700 non pro.

So next time before you spit your dummy out get a sense of humour! I have done plenty of dumb stuff but can laugh about it

And your reason for flaming me???? I didn't get excited over anything. Actually, except for benchmarks, this card is a lot better the the Ti series, and honesty the image quality is way better, so I don't feel that it I've done, as you would say, "dumb stuff" by buying this card. It just sucks for fps.

I order a 9800pro today, and am putting the 5600 in my gaming server so I'm sure it will be suffecient enough for it.

Oh, and btw, do you think flaming someone makes you feel better? I'd advise you to do it elsewhere!!!!

I think he was just joking. No need to get mad about it.

Quiet an upgrade there... going from GFFX 5600 to a 9800 Pro. You'll love the 9800 Pro. It's probably the best card out right now. Enjoy!

I already have 2 9700 pro's and can break 19,000 with both of them. I just want to break 23,000 on 3dmark01 and 7500 on 3dmark03. I have ordered some liquid nitrogen so hopefully it can be accomplished.

Do you have a compare link? 23K with 9700 Pro sounds too high... Even if it's overclocked like crazy.

23,000 is not possible since the benchmark is CPU limited at 1024 x 768, somone is spreading some Poo here.

Read again, it says that I'm "HOPING FOR 23,000 WITH A 9800pro" I never said anything about it w/ a 9700.

who really cares about those scores ? have a 9500 modded to run as a mutant 9700 sorta-kinda-pro, tons of artifacts but a great score. know what ? all my games run fine, no artifacts. MadOnion is for MadOnions.

    have fun ~
