    Compaq Armada 1560 - Dissassembly

I have an old Compaq Armada 1560 with a 166 MHz Pentium processor. I have been looking into how I could possibly overclock it to 233 MHz (It probably isn't worth it but I'm infected with the overclocking bug). It looks like I could jumper the socket to change the multiplier, although I don't know if it will work without any voltage adjustment.

My problem is that I need some help in dissassembling the laptop itself. After taking all of the screws that I can find, there still seems to be something preventing me from seperating the top and bottom parts of the "case". I don't want to force it apart and break anything and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this (someone must have tried this before) or if anyone knows of a link that would help me out.

    Thanks

On some old Compaq's there is a tape connecting the top of the keyboard to the bottom of the chassis. See if you can take out the keyboard and see if there are any tapes/screws underneath that are keeping everything together. Also, remove the battery and any other hot swap device to make sure you have the chassis free from parts.

I don't think this is worth it personally
