    Question

Win Me freezes when I try to install 4 in 1 28v (final).
When I restart the computer by pushing the start button, everything is okay. I do have the v160.33 bus controller installed. Should I uninstall everything related to the drives in the device manager? Any ideas floating around. Thanks.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by installing only one thing at a time, instead of both at once. I hope this helps

WinMe does not like Via 4.28. Go to http://www.viahardware.com & read about the driver conflict.

Well, I decided to use the beta 4.29 4-in-1 drivers. By installing the AGP and Inf drivers seperately, I was finally able to solve my problems with my ATI Radeon 64 MB graphics card running slowly. My fps scores jumped from the low 30s to almost 70 fps in the Quake III Quaver demo benchmark! Also saw remarkable gains in 3D Mark 2000. BTW, I have a 1200 MHZ Athlon.

I still can't run HD Tach on my RAIDed array of 60 GB Maxtor 7200 RPM drives, though. And WinMe absolutely won't allow me to install the latest Promise Ultra100 drivers. Sisoft works for benchmarking the HDs though.
