Trp setting: 2 vs 3

How much of a performance hit does setting trp to 3 vs 2 with all other settings being equal (e.g. tras, trcd, cas)?

reason I ask is one of my new sticks of ram can't do a trp setting 2 without causing massive memtest errors and have to resort to trp of 3. other settings are tras 11, trcd,3, cas 2.0.

In theory tRP would have the least effect out of tRAS, tRCD, and CAS. I haven't done the benchmarking, though, and it certainly various between memory controllers.

It's like almost nil man, I did benches, it was so small, also, I noticed 0 diff in real performance. Try it you'll prob have the same results.

fareastgq, thanks for the input. yeah I just got 2x512MB Buffalo ch-5's. 1 of the stick just won't take trp 3 even at 200 or lower fsb. The other stick has no problem's with trp 2. Well the good news is that these stick are doing 220 (11,3,3,2.0) out of the bag whereas my twinmos 2x512mb ch-5's can just do 215 after burning in.

Later I'll just do a quick sandra test on the single stick that can do trp 2 and see how much of performance difference there is, if any.
