PC Reboots on POST! Help!

Hi all
To make the long story short, i have recently started a new GAME called BIOS modding!! How ever after modding my BIOS i discovered that there wasn't much that Gigabyte had to hide. One of those options is "Quick Power On Self Test" which is on by default. When this is on, PC boots with no problem at all and is stable and passes memtest86 and M$ memory test with no errors but when i disable QuickPOST and reboot the computer, it starts to count my memory to find errors (i guess) as expected, but reboots each time it reaches 220XXX! What gives?
I have currently inabled QPOST to prevent my PC from endless rebooting but i don't know whether my memory is defective or my mobo?

how long did you leave memtest on for? do you do the extended test? sounds more like the bios to me.....if you have tested it thoroughly........have you tried another bios? or have you tried this ram in another pc?

I have tested the ram for 7 hours. Extended test too. One strange thing is if i raise the VDIMM +0.1 even in no OC conditions, memtest reports a single error once in a while! but in default settings and volts every thing is ok. I have modded the latest BIOS. This BIOS does not have "Quick POST" by default. It is hidden! So if i try using another BIOS, I'll have to mod it first!
The ram has proven to be ok in another system, but then i have'nt pushed it to its limits.
The thing is, i can live with this prob, infact it seems that i have had this problem from the day 1, but now that i know, i just want to find the culprit!

I read a post where a member had to disable the external cpu cahce in bios or memtest would rpt errors ...actually he said it was trashing his O/S! He was using a 2500+. May not be the problem for u but my .02$ regardless.

I tried disabling external cpu cache but that didn't fix it.
