    Angry fight @ Burger King

So Momma (my gf...thats her tag, even here at AMDMB in case some of you think I am weird) is on her way home, and like every night, calls and asks if I want anything on her way home.

Yeah, like most nights, I've sat at the computer busting out answers in the DFI forum. Who needs food when there's work to be done? Not me for sure!

But you know, after 12 hours of lack of food, your stomach gets a nice hot burning feel to it, like you could swallow a meteor and it would dissolve in seconds. So I tell her 'yep, gimme something from Arby's' cuz thats open and right down the road, and its nasty but not too nasty.

She say she won't be back in town by the time the drive-through closes (she works down in Nevada, nearly an hour away). So Burger King is the only thing open that late on this end of Twinkie Flats, ID. And I see this new 'Chicken Baguette' sandwich on tv all the time, and I figure, well, its right next to Arby's so I will definitely try that! Sounds good! I love chicken! I love french sounding food as long as it is not made of snails or frenchmen.

looks tasty yeah! Looks like it + some fries would fill me up good mmmmmm.

So Momma comes home... and THIS is what I get:

    WHAT THE ****

"Did you get robbed on the way home?" I ask her. No, she assures me, this is untouched bag of Burger King.

"Well, did you order me 1/4 of a sandwich or what?" I ask. No, again, she assures me she orderd the Chicken Baguette sandwich, just as I asked for.

AND WHERE THE HELL IS MY LETTUCE??? Oh, its there...its that off-white colored thing next to the sandwich.

So we look at the receipt...

TWO NINETY NINE???? FOR THAT??? GRRRRRRRRRR

After eating my fries (the sandwich was not only so small and nasty looking as to elicit vomiting noises but it was harder than that meteor I was talking about earlier!!!! I mean, Baguettes are supposed to be HARD ON THE OUTSIDE, SOFT ON THE INSIDE. C'mon, I took enough french in high school to know thats exactly what baguette means), I had to scrounge for a can of chicken soup. And not good soup either, it was some Flavo-Rite crap from the welfare damaged-can goods store that is only open on the 5th day of each month.

    Whats my point?

Everyone remembers Jimz and his 'weasel' tag? Guess what jimz...I'm gonna be the ******** king weasel after this. Burger King has gotten one extremely nasty letter written in the most scathing-yet-polite manner I know of.

I'm so furious over such a stupid little thing, but you know what? I'm insanely tired of fast food places doing this crap. Or us getting home after 9 hours of shopping/working and finding out that out of the 3 burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks and 4 pies we ordered, we got 2 chicken sandwiches, 2 diet drinks, 1 pie, and an onion ring.

If Burger King does not make this right, you can catch me on CNN being the only moron outside a Burger King posting up giant blown-up pictures of their rotten little french crap sandwich. I will crusade however long it takes to make sure the Burger King here in Twisted Farts, ID never again screws with another customer.

Trust me, the last time I went off on a company in this nature, they not only replaced my shoes, but gave me a set of 3 coupons for any shoes they made, no matter the price. If it works for shoes, it will damn sure work for stupid Burger King

    /end rant

Yeah I kinda regreted walking in the door with the bag of food after i saw that. Its so ridiculous that they would even let this pass into a bag of food. I work as a server at an incredibly busy establishment in a casino so i know that you can put together better quality food than this. Funny thing about this is that they weren't busy at 12:00 am in Twin Falls, ID and you can probably guess from Angry's reference to the town's name it isn't a bustling metropolis. So i don't know its crap and i am quite disappointed that they would let this happen. So any of you guys wanna start pooling money with me cause i know Angry is going to end up in federal prison if justice is not served for a sandwich.

Ive been there so I certainly understand. Often times we focus on an incident like this to "even up the score" for every time weve been screwed.

Now if you work this right...youll end up with maybe 50 coupons for free...yes free menu items from there. I lived on whoppers one winter long ago!!

That happened to us too, one of our coke bottles blew up (yes, blew up, the whole bottom was missing and pieces all over the place) and it wasnt my dog, cuz she was in her cage when I got home, and it leaked intp my bathroom fan downstairs. We sent the bottle to them, and they send us about 15 cupons.

I kinda know what you mean AG.

You sure got to admit one thing.... If Burger King put the time and quality into making their day to day everyday stuff like they do their "to be filmed for the commercial" food, more people would go there.

I had their other incarnation of the Chicken Baguette (peppers and salsa) and it wasn't too bad. It had no lettuce and somewhat edible. Mind you, I am on a diet and FOR BURGER KING and it being a low fat sandwich, it wasn't too bad.

I only ate it one other time.

I only got one little rain cloud on your angry letter to Burger King. By the time it has been read, that sandwich may be gone. I bet they got so much hate mail on it as it is now.

Hah, I'm sure they spend Hours, if not Days.

Burger King is a wasteland because of poor management starting at the top and filtering all the way down. I can remember back in the mid-80s it was great. But for some reason, it hasn't been right ever since. I'll tell you why, it's because Burger King is a true american company. They pay retarded people who come to work whenever they want and hide in the bathroom half the day smoking a joint...top pay, but if you're a hard worker, they give you the scraps in the dumpster. I worked for them, and have been to several burger kings where the hierarchy of idiocy is glaringly obvious. I still like a double-whopper with bacon and barbecue sauce every once in awhile, but I always check to be sure there it isn't a possum, due to my somewhat similar experiences.

More than likely you will get much better service from just about ANY McDonalds on the face of the earth. It's a shame, soon Burger King will be just like Hardees. Crap like forgetting the meat, or not to use the bun found under the stove.
...Does anybody else feel like Congress simply bailed themselves out? Isn't that what they really mean by a bailout?

I get more pissed off than that. Yesterday afternoon on my way home, I drove past a pumpkin farm and some old man who could hardly walk (even with the aid of his cane, i mean seriously it took approx minute and a half to walk 10 feeet) pulled his car over to the side of the road and got out and was stealing a pumpkin. That infuriated me to hell, because old people are always bitching about morals and how kids lack them. All I could do was visualize taking his keys, chucking them 150 feet out into the feild, and laugh as he spends hours looking for them. If the raod wasn't so damn busy I would have made a u-turn and went back. I was angry about it until I went to sleep, and I was still angry about it when I woke up. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go sit in a darkened room and wish a slow agonizing death on him.

You should have gone to a Burger King, bought one of those "chicken" sandwiches (I'm sorry, but the photo of the actual one looks like roadkill on soggy bread) and force fed it to him. Much worse then a mere violent act. Unless he's used to eating roadkill and soggy bread, anyone who's willing to steal pumpkins from a farmer's field probably dumpster dives for his dinner anyway.

I still submit that McDOnald's is a lot worse than Burger King.

That thing looks disgusting. I spend a good ammount of time on the road traveling between MI and MN (home and college) at breaks. It's a 14 hour, 800 mile trip which means that we usually have to stop for food twice. If a Burger King is the only place to eat at a place to stop, we'll just keep driving until we find someplace better, no matter how hungry we are.
