Yeah, should be interesting. Looking forward to the game myself. I was thinking of going over to Bestbuy to pick a copy of it up, but it seems that they never have anything out when it is supposed to.

I'm surprised there aren't more people talking about this game. I thought the first one was actually pretty good, and am looking forward to this one. Been replaying the first one, so I have an idea of what is going on in the second, plus it gives me some practice with the controls.

With all the noise about HL2, Doom3, even Halo, maybe MP2(which is actually on time btw...) will be the biggest surprise of them all.

this game rocks! If you don't have directx 9 video card, then get one. the intensity is way up from the last one. more weapons early on in the game unlike the last one where you have to make it half way through tthe game to get the good weapons. Only on chapter 2 now ( going to work blows ), but I am very pleased.

This game is wonderfull. It's very engaging, like reading a good book or watching a good movie, except that you get to play it.

If you didn't like the original, this game won't change your mind, but if you liked it or you never tried it and like action games in general, this is an absolute MUST BUY.

The graphics are excellent (not quite on par with HL2 or Doom 3, but hey, this game is OUT) and the game physics, built from the ground up using Havok 2.0, is nothing short of incredible. Your jaw will hit the ground on more than one occasion when playing.

Do yourself a favor and get the game.

wish there was a demo ...that really motivates me to go and pay retail for a game...anybody know of it on special anywhere yet? I just cringe at the thought of $50 for a game that will almost definitely be on sale in a month or two....

Hows the framerate. for a 2.3ghz Barton/9700 pro it's liquid right?. I can't wait to get it...

On a related subject since it's DX9, will this shut up Gearbox's "Halo peforms like ••• since it's using Dx9 shaders" line?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not a DX9 title. There are no advanced shaders of any kind that I can see, Not even DX8 shaders.

On the subject of performance, I get about 70 to 90 FPS on average, running at 1152x864 with 4x AA. The only slowdown occurs when the screen is filled with volumetric somke, and even then it drops to only 40 or so.

I'm probably about halfway through the game and it's shaping up to be one of my favorites of all time. Not perfect by any means, but its the most fun I've had with a game for a long while.
