    NostromoN52 Just installed. :)

Just arrived and installed despite the fact I should be sleeping. Just goes to show you are never too old to be excited about new toys.

Well, it was a pretty easy installation. At first glance I thought the black palm rest on it wasnt removeable but after fiddling with it I found it popped right off. I do wish they could have made it look a little nicer underneathe there but I guess its okay. Just inst cool looking. lol. The overall feel of this thing is a lot heavier and it has some nice rubber matting on the bottom to prevent it from sliding around. I just played a couple of DM-Seraphim matches and its really sensitive despite the keys feeling a bit tight as if they arent broke in yet but seems great so far. A pic of the holes left by removing the palmrest. Still felt fine to play with.

A brief look at the Editor. Lots of stuff to program which I havent really fiddled with yet but the new app still does accept old profiles so you can at least observe your old settings while building a new profile. I noticed something I wasnt aware of before but the scroll wheel also has a button on it similar to your mouse wheel. Thats a nifty feature even tho I may not ever use it. Might be perfect for a less than often used shiftstate. I do really enjoy the thumb key for being able to make like hitting a space bar. I think that will be an excellent shiftstate key. I played two whole matches without realizing it was set to Space which is my suicide for UT2003. Could have been bad.....lol.

    Me happy

    Sweet.

Mine should arrive today. I plan to use the top row of keys for numbers 1, 2, 3 etc instead of the wheel now. The wheel was never very accurate IMO. I'm looking forward to the new features.

    Thanks for the info !

Nope it doesnt vibrate. Just a very programmable gamepad that can be easily set up for many different games.

Hmmm... I had to go in and completely remove the first install of the nostromo software. Then I reinistalled then plugged in. Then all went well. I was able to open an old N50 file since it still acknowledges it just wont use it for the N52. Perhaps you mean your are trying to load an N50 profile for the N52? You will have to build a new one from scratch but I only meant that I was able to go look at my old ones to see what I had put where. Sorry if I made that unclear.

Yes, it's for the left hand. Most people aim with their right hands. I never even tried aiming left handed untill I started using a joystick to replace the keyboard. Even then, I had to get an ambidexterous trackball.

I used to use the arrows but was never very comfortable with it. And I NEVER was able to get used to the wasd keys. The original N50 just did the trick for me and now this one just adds that much more optimization for me.
