140 pop-ups and 72 tojans. I just redid the OS.
So I had some time on my hand today and decided to bump up the clocks just a bit on my x1900xt.
I used ati tools find core and find mem functions.
It craps out at core of 688 and it craps out at 732 mem.
So I set a conservative overclock at 671 core and 724 mem.
I am staying away from the upper limits.
I may creep up on them over time.
But the resulting frame time had improved quite a bit.
Old frame time was 6 minutes 43-45 second.
New frame time is no 6 minutes 17-20 seconds.
I will take it.

Amazing. To think that a GPU, which is clocked much lower that the CPU, can out produce it. My guess is that it is the 3D engine with its floating point abilities.
Well crap.... still getting a steady diet of p2124 and p2125 stuff.![]()
My office smells like a fried CPU. Wonder which one? HMMMMMM. I really am not in the mood, ya know.

I moved cables around in my case. Screwed up my raid 1 mirror. Ckdisk found errors every time after 3 reboots with 1 of the core files. So I deleted all the work and all the core files.50% through a 600 pointer.

Arggggh.
That sucks!

Found it. It wasn't a folder. PSU on my back up system.
That's cool.... a lot less expensive than a X2 chip!
