Hey guys, my wife just lost her job, ( and she's the Big Money Winner), so I 'm going to have to cut out the 24/7 folding on all my rigs when they complete their current WU's.
Two rigs will fold when on, but essentially that means down to the 2 digits per day.
Get ahead while you can noorman, I promise an extra dual core when we get our act back together!!!!!

One of my folders is down!

I updated the drivers last night, but it didn't like it... I'm gonna have to figure out what happened. I was to tired last night.

At least it was only my 3000+

CRAP!!
Woke this morning to a beeep, beeep, pressed the button on the bedside alarm, (whoohoo it's Sunday I must have forgotten to switch it off) and still beeep, beeep, investigate source and:
Main rig off, Monitor off, Ups light flashing, Hmm, looks like I finally need to replace the ageing Ups, switch off and on again, beeep, click, powers off,
Unplug the Ups and plug the system into the mains socket, nuthin' after a little diagnostics, Psu = dead, great way to start a Sunday morning,
Checked all the other rigs, no problems, no power outages or events on second Ups, quick check of the nearest computer store that's open Sunday's:
1. New Ups
2. New Psu
Skip breakfast, pickup gear and install and all good again and just in time for lunch,
There goes the $$ I've been slowly saving up for the X2 upgrade of my last single core rig,
CRAP!!!

Why new UPS?

The old one was on it's last legs anyway, and even with the load disconnected a few hours later it just showed the red "internal fault" Led,
Psu has a pungent smell about it, but at least it's well inside the warranty period, and I was going to have to upgrade the one in the target rig for the new X2 anyway so not so much of a loss, I would've just prefered to do it in another couple of months,
At least it didn't happen just after I bought the X2 Cpu.
