    Windows Not Recognizing CD-RW

Well, I put together this system and put Windows XP Pro SP1 on it.

The problem is that every single time I boot windows, the CD-RW drive has to be added to the hardware list to work.

The drive is a Lite On Black 48x24x48x16 CDROM/CDRW/DVD Combo Drive LTC-48161H.

    Any help will be appreciated.

not familiar with that MB, is it an Nforce board? If so, remove the Nvidia IDE controller drive and install the default MS driver.
