    how'd i install newer silicon img drivers on my nf7-s guys?
    You might try the Windows update site first they offer the Latest drivers for the Silicon image 3112 sata controller.

    yep. i just reran. i get 58/72 now. write caching is on.

    I wonder if you r scores are not as high as mine because you have a promise chipset...I know that when I had my MSI KT3 ULTRA ARU running raid was not nearly as high once I started using the Highpoint Chipset...

    Please changed the "overlapped I/O" option to "neither" and re-run the test.

    No disagreement with that article. I have always emphasised that here we use benchmarks just to see if a given system and O/S combination is performing as it should, within normal variation limits for the baseline data that is readily available.
