Congrats. I still have to wait till tomorrow till I get my copy. I went the cheap shipping route with the free 2 day shipping from Ebgames.com. Maybe you could drop in again and give some impressions of the game.

Well its pretty fast and furious...kind of like MOHAA on steroids( but not frustrating like the sniper level or the Omaha beach landing of MOHAA)..my squad mates do pretty well and laying cover fire and killing their share of the bad guys.. the GFx are pretty nice...theres alot of fighting going on beyond my little battles...i can look up and see tracer fire from air and ground units, airplanes getting shot out of the sky, explosions everywhere...etc feels like im in the middle of a much larger war..pretty cool... been playing it for a couple hours..going back in!

Yeah, the soundtrack is great from just the little snippets I heard from the two demos. Real good music, reminded me of movie music for a big epic picture.

I just tried the Dawnville demo last night a little bit, and it was completely immersive. This is the right direction for games to go without a doubt!!

Just picked it up today, and I have to say this game is off the meatrack! Very exhilarating to play online! I've played the tdm and the objective modes. Deathcam is a great feature, not only do you get to see where you got offed from, but it's pretty cool to see a replay anyways. Like when you're mo'in' down some allies while using an mg42, and along comes a snipers bullet and taps ya in the head. And it's funny to see your mistakes from the other guy's point of view. I come walking out of a bunker and started looking around as I don't know the maps yet, and BAM!, I drop like a sack o' potatoes. I think it's safe to say that MoH is dead. Definitely not much to look forward to for that franchise. Gonna trade mine in this weekend.

    Death cam is awsome!

I was a bit confused when i first played online, but i'm getting the hang of it, theres no flags over the heads of people so you have to know the color of the uniform to know who to kill.

The level designs are very impresive, graphics are very very nice too, runs perfect on my machine. Sound is awsome, but that was expected coming from the team that did mohaa. I love looking down the barrel of the gun, great feature.

Did anybody that has it happen to look at the water on the boat dm board?

well as we all know bf1942's multi is insane, because of the amount of of people and of course vehicles.

If you played mohaa online and liked it (before the cheating happened anyway) than you'll like COD.

"Behind enemy lines" is a very cool mode, where its a few allies against a bunch of Axises, and the allies only score points, and if your an Axis and kill an Ally you become and ally so you can score points, cool stuff.

I just got it tonight at Best Buy also.

I haven't played it yet because I've become obsessed with playing HALO mp!

Definitely later tonight, or first thing tommorrow. I've been on an addictive streak of Halo mp tonight. I'd say 5 hours easily so far. This game does rock for mp death.

Tha's a bummer man. They rolled out cable internet here a long time ago. I've had it since 97 or 98.

Lake Tahoe CA doesn't have high speed internet?

Singleplayer can be cool (although I can count on one hand, possible one finger, how many FPS games I've finished completely through) however no amount of current programming can equal the experience of playing actual human opponents.

Well, it's Sat and now I've gotta decide between games!

HALO or Call of Duty.....SP or MP......damn.
