Tha's a bummer man. They rolled out cable internet here a long time ago. I've had it since 97 or 98.

Lake Tahoe CA doesn't have high speed internet?

Singleplayer can be cool (although I can count on one hand, possible one finger, how many FPS games I've finished completely through) however no amount of current programming can equal the experience of playing actual human opponents.

Well, it's Sat and now I've gotta decide between games!

HALO or Call of Duty.....SP or MP......damn.
Its avaliable in some areas..I live out in the county not the city...its beautiful but not on the fast track for cable or dsl... I still enjoy a great single player experience like Dues Ex or system shock 2, Fallout 1/2...But I do miss all the great Dm and TDM stuff i use to do in Quake..When i can get cable/dsl ill definatly be back on line fragging again...as the saying goes..."hell has no fury like an HPB gone LPB"

    What about digital satellite?

Satalite is not for gamers.....you can get good Dl speeds with satalite but because the first hop and the last hop( the satalite) are so high up in the sky its has high latency....In otherwords a 28.8 old school modem has far superior ping times compaired to sat...( you wont get much better then a 500ms ping with sat)

If the demo ran ok then it will run a full version as well. I loaded this game on my GF2 GTS and it looks and plays at 800x600 just fine.

Just got back from EB and finally picked this up

They said they sold out of 100 copies yesterday and were halfway through the 160 they got in this morning.

I played the demos at 1024x768 with 4x AA and 16x AF and all in-game graphics settings turned all the way up.

Gonna go ahead and get this installed....

Whew.....I live in Denton, TX, just north of both Dallas, and Ft Worth. We JUST got a BEST BUY out here two weeks ago, have had Gamestop and Hastings as well as Target and Wal-Mart to buy games at. Anyway, I called ALL OVER town yesterday, and NO-ONE had copies, Gamestop sold out, same at Best Buy, and the other retailers, last resort, called Hastings (they usually, from experience, have stuff LAST), and they had TWO copies left. I had them hold one for me, by the time I got there (15 minutes later), they said I got the LAST copy. This game is going like hot-cakes. Unfortunately, I had the kids out trick-or-treating last night, among other "father/husband" duties, and JUST now got it installed....with that said, I'll see you guys later, gonna give it a try. The demo rocked, so I'm expecting a great game.....
