    Question

I faxed in my form yesterday early morning. But I've neard nothing about when it will ship.

Has anyone else submitted the RMA? Do you know about time frames for delivery? Is Iwill supposed to contact me and tell me what's up?

I sent my motherboard on last Saturday, before the official recall. They received on Monday. Yesterday, I call to check the status. Gess what, they have not done Sh!t. Now I am still motherboard-less. I hope they do not mail by UPS ground, because it will probably take another week to get to Maryland. ARRHHHH

I've sent two e-mails and left two phone messages over 4 days and had no response. No point sending in the form without an RMA number right?

    Sirius,

THey actually told me to send the RMA form WITHOUT a RMA number. THey said they'd fill that out when the form got there. Normally you'd have to get it first, but this is a special case, I think.

    coop,

Thanks for your help! They should make that clear in their instructions. I could have done without waiting 3 days for a response. I'll send in form then, with the cross-ship option and see what happens.

From what I understood, I thought that if you gave them a CC #, they would ship you an updated board and you could return your defective one after you receive your new one. That way, you would not be "motherboardless".

Ira, I believe you are correct. If you give them the CC# they are 'sposed to ship you a good board. Then, you ship yours back within 7 days of receiving the new one.

However, it would be nice if they let you know when it was shipped, how it will be coming, when you can expect it, a tracking number... GIVE ME SOMETHING!!!

    Unhappy

I sent my RMA in yesterday by fax. I have phoned once and sent two emails with no reply yet. I just want to make sure the form is filled out correctly and they have the proper address. I gave them a CC# and I am a bit worried that they might send it to an incorrect address or the RMA was not filled out correctly. Sheesh! What happened to "Express" and "Immediate" and "expedite"???? Was Sherman just pulling our leg?

Well I sent in my RMA for with a CC number. I wrote my shipping address at the top of the RMA form in the blank space. I post when I get any response.

I faxed my form in Mon. afternoon with CC# and just received a new board about an hour ago. That's less than a 48 hr turnaround which is not bad. Only thing is the sent a ver 1.1 board which may actually be a good thing.

I got a phone call within an hour of faxing in the RMA form.

First, for the KK266 v1.2 mulitplier problem board, you DO NOT need an RMA number.

Second, there is an error on the RMA form (unless it's been fixed) . Mine had KK266/R ver 1.2 for "Item number." The guy who called wanted to confirm which board I had because the KK266/R DOES NOT HAVE THE MULTIPLIER PROBLEM AND IS NOT COVERED BY THIS RECALL. So if you have the "non-R" KK266 BE SURE TO CHECK THAT THE RMA FORM IS CORRECT. Scratch out the "R" if appropriate.

Second here's how I filled it out:

My phone, fax and e-mail in the provided spot in the upper right corner.
I wrote "ship to" address in the blank spot at the top center of the form since I am asking to get the new board sent to me without first returning the old.
I filled in the quantity, serial number, invoice # (from my vendor) Invoice date in "Note" I wrote "newegg.com (my vendor).
I gave my CC info on the bottom, signed and dated it.

    Hope this is helpful.

Man... the top of the form says "REPLACEMENT WITH IWILL KK266 VER 1.2 ONLY". So, doesn't that mean that if I have a v1.2 to RMA, then shouldn't I receive a v1.2 in return???

I know it's probably not a big deal, but there must be some reason that they went to v1.2 from 1.1!?!?! Anybody know what the differences are?

My guess is that it's the number on board itself over in the lower left corner where the sound jumper is but I don't know for sure . . .
