    Onboard serial ata

    When i first install the drives i got a bench in 62610, After i install all of my software and other stuff it drop down to 45065 i was wondering what is up with that......is it better to get a controller card.......or what shall i do in this situation.......i have the a7n8x deluxe ver 1.04 board with 2x mator 120 diamond max.....

    Which benchmark did you use? Are those RAID-0 scores or for a single drive? Did you defragment the drive before running the benchmark?

    Yes raid 0.......raptors run like 99....i did all of that.......oh i am sorry the software i use to bench was sisandra.......

    Use the link in my siggy to download the ATTO benchmark proggy. Once installed, run it and set the options to agree with those shown in the following pic, before starting the test run. Post a screen snapshot of the results if you can. Or upload it to www.bbpix.com and post the link to it.

    I only know how to do it in win-98, which is to hit the "Print Screen" key, then save it out of the clipboard viewer and convert it to a jpg file.

    To post the pic you must have personal webspace you can upload it to then surround the URL of the pic with IMG tags. If you don't have personal webspace then you can upload it to www.bbpix.com and use that URL in IMG tags.

    I have no way to view MDI files. Please make it available in a common format such as GIF or JPG.

    It will do that sometimes, because Sandra takes a block of unused space for write portition of the test, and that portition might not be on the fastest part of the disk, more than likely it's somewhere in the middle.
