Ok, guys, I think the majority of you lean clearly towards the GO FOR IT option, so that's exactly what I'll be doing. I just hope the Hyper X doesn't have any conflicts with the EP-8RDA3+ board.

Anyways, while you guys decided wether or not I should be able to get 200x11 on my current cooling setup, I decided to play it safe and use a little of what I have lying around here... hehehe

I have an old TT Volcano 7+ full copper HSF around here, which in my book is one of the best heatsinks I've ever used temp wise, even if it does sound like a Citation V is under my desk which is the ONLY reason I replaced it with the Mech/SK-7 combo I currently have. Soooo after hacking my brains to the max, I decided to invest a little on the 7+, exactly $17 dollars more which is a lot less than any other new setup I would've gotten. What did I get for my hard earned $17? A nice 70 to 92mm fan adapter and a 64CFM/34dba 92mm Enermax UC-9FAB adjustable fan to put on top of it.

I think this hybrid will be able to hold its own against most of the extreme air-cooled setups around here, but I guess we won't know until it's up and running.

What do you guys think of this??? I know this is more properly a "Cases and Cooling" question, but hey, It's still CPU we're discussing here! hehehe Please feel free to share your thoughts on this, I'm really excited myself.

As I said earlier, you would have been fine! Now with the increased fan you should have some room to play. Your $17.00 investment will give you peace of mind and at the same time leave you with some room for further experimenting. Good Luck!!

Ok, I received some of the parts today, but the new fan and adapter and the Mobo aren't due at my doorstep until Monday.

Ok, so the 2500+ I received today is an AQYFA0345RPAW. I haven't read anything here about that stepping so far, any info on it?

The bad news is that it will be locked at 11 multiplier, and the good news is that it should run with no problems at 11x200 FSB or higher. Start at 200 FSB and increase by 5mhz each time until it becomes unstable. Then lower by 3 mhz and all should be well! Good Luck!

Well, I just finished installing eveything today. And, just like predicted, I'm running my brand new 2500+ at 11x200 (3200+) from the very first instant, all ROCK solid at stock VCore. My temps are 26C ambient, 32C Case and 39C CPU idle on my SK-7/Mechatronics normal HSF. And the AS3 isn't even settled in yet lol. Haven't had time yet to test the temps under load.

What can I say??? THANK YOU GUYS!!!!
