^^It could have been literally overnight. All the truckers would have been thrilled. Everyone would have felt an ease at the damned pump. Saving a few bucks everyday means alot more more to me than some stupid check down the road.
Nothing better than an Ace Rant. Man can he rant.
Jeez. My illusions are shattered. Who would have thunk?
And I wont even go there yet about Hillary's pack of lies about Bosnia and the other "foreign policy"
imaginings she has had over the years.

"The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual. Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us...
Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business."
^^Hey Scooter. How would you like to be a fly on the wall at her house?
Oh man. If I werent afraid of being misunderstood? Id do an exclusive "interview" with Geraldine. I bet she has some choice words for Obama and Hillary both...
Ed Morrissey / Hot Air:
Geraldine Ferraro: Wright a “racist bigot”15 minutes ago Link Search: Ask, Technorati, Sphere, Google, and IceRocket
I can just hear her opening statement: "JimZ I am rip shit over this outrage. Im a cultured woman.
One of the "elite Democrats"". Im well bred and for me to have to endure....the lies of trashmouth Hillary...the NY Carpetbagger and that uppity ....negro fellow...that Obama fellow.... is an outrage"
"Do be a love and fix us a bloody would you James? My nerves are frazzled"

Good day today. Bad day yesterday. Get used to it. IMO? Its a sifting process. The market needs to see there are very solid companies doing very well thank you and that the subprime mess is closer to being "accounted" for....via writedowns and so forth.
Not a bad time to find deals....quality stuff...that is low right now due to market hysteria.
Unless you worry about comets and asteroids.
My guess is consumer spending will pick up as the winter goes away.
And some relief at the pump would be a plus.
Mah... every stockbroker had his money moved to where he thought it would be 'safe'... now that the groundrules have changed, they're cashing those out and taking risks again. Look at the volume... 500+M today. It's a Thursday, fer cryin' out loud. They sold off yesterday, they spent today.
The money's comin' out from under the mattresses... time to go bargain hunting 'nStuff.
And thats a good sign. What we want to see is lending. We want folks to take chances again. Start businesses. Take business loans for expansion.
Thats my objection to the stimulus package.
The tax rebate deal was aimed mainly at individuals.
As powerful a force as we all are as consumers?
Job creation is king.
And yes I understand the arguement that consumption will ultimately drive
supply...and lead to increased capacity.
Its just a long way round and time consuming. The process of increased demand as Congress assumed....might lead to a real expansion via the business sector [response to demand] takes many many months.
But. I know its an endless arguement.
Maybe Im becoming machiavellian as I get older.
Ill put it another way.
Symbolism and theory is lost on most folks.
When Congress does a theory and symbolic gesture around money?
Thats fine. All the economists and theorists are happy.
But what does it do for John Doe?
Nothing. Nothing this week is what John Doe worries over.
He has to figure how to put gas in his car this week to get to work.
Having been blessed with high heat bills all winter.
Thats the guy that needs relief right now.
And a rebate check is a tad late.
^^Didnt mean to sound preachy there. But come on.
Id rather a small tight and well oiled Federal machine that gets into basic
crap and acts fast and correctly than this monster we have allowed to grow.
Are we out of our minds?
Back to basics.

Want a mental workout? Go over to Bill Whittle's site... read his lead story. It'll take you about a half an hour, and you'll thank me just for that.
Now. Apply the OODA principle to the economy... or even just to your own investments.
I'll accept 1% of everything over 50% above what you were expecting, thank you.
Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos makes a mark and the Democrats are thinking their usual way... courtroom. These people just don't understand Operation Chaos.Election Board Considers Prosecuting Party Switchers
16,000 GOP Voters Crossed Over
CLEVELAND -- The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is investigating whether any Republicans broke the law when they switched parties in the March 4 presidential primary to back the candidate that they perceived to be a weaker opponent for GOP nominee-in-waiting John McCain.
The board expects the results of the investigation March 31. The board wants to know if voters lied when they signed statements pledging allegiance to their new party.
About 16,000 GOP voters crossed over to vote for Democrats in the primary.
It's not clear whether the board will try to prosecute voters. A 2-2 tie by the board to pursue violators would have to be broken by Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat.
A Brunner spokeswoman said she hasn't been contacted about prosecuting crossover voters.

Honesty in R&B. Seriously Home's... honesty in a relationship isn't always a good thing, dig?
Not much to add to this
Talk about bad luck. This reminds me of the old Imus deer story where a nice silverhaired Granny
was impailed by deer antlers.
Interesting question. Starbucks
