Re: Rolleyes News of The Day

After law school, she and Barack were beset by loans they'd still be paying had her husband not written two best-sellers, "The Audacity of Hope" and "Dreams From My Father."
Those debts early in their marriage, she said, equips her husband to better understand the problems many Americans face.
    Yeah, cry me a river.

Some of us chose to go to state universities because the cost was lower. Personally, I passed on UC Berkeley and Stanford because the idea of paying the tuition scared the crap out of me. I had some scholarships, some bucks saved up and did this thing some might call "work" to pay for my education and to be blunt, I get kinda pissy when people whine about having to pay back student loans. In the meantime, we write a check every month to repay my wife's student loans. Never missed a payment and never bitched about having to pay them. Sixteen more checks to write, thank you. We're thankful for her opportunity to have the education and the well paying career it afforded her.

People who whine about student loans are no different than people bitching about the high price of the car payments they chose to make or the adjustable mortgages they "got coerced into signing up for".

    Buck up and shut up.

    Pay your damned bills.

Thanks for listening... I better get a cup of coffee...

^^^ Still not as impressive as dutchcedar's design for three thirty inch displays... designed last April... still on hold as the slacker delays due to construction of the addition to his abode...

... and, he has the three mondo water-cooled dual DVI graphics cards on the mobo already... just a couple gigs of video memory...

edit: OK, I see they finally got around to triple 30's... sure took 'em long enough...

Whats that.. Islam being pushed at a Muslim public school?? Unpossible..

Wall of silence broken at state's Muslim public school

It shares the headquarters building of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, whose mission is "establishing Islam in Minnesota."

    ....

Why does the Minnesota Department of Education allow this sort of religious activity at a public school? According to Zaman, the department inspects TIZA regularly -- and has done so "numerous times" -- to ensure that it is not a religious school.

But the department's records document only three site visits to TIZA in five years -- two in 2003-04 and one in 2007, according to Assistant Commissioner Morgan Brown. None of the visits focused specifically on religious practices.
The MAS.. see CAIR carbon copy.

Awww: Class trip to mosque teaches 10-year-olds that they’re “dogs”

They wanted a lesson in tolerance, and man, did they get one. I’m guessing the students were mostly Christian as there’s no report of anyone being called a “pig” or “ape.”

A primary school in Amsterdam wished to provide its pupils with an understanding for other cultures. But during a visit to a mosque, the children were told they were dogs.

With a view to developing understanding and respect for other cultures among children, primary school De Horizon regularly organises outings to various religious organisations. The chairman of the El Mouchidine mosque told the children from group 7 (aged 10) and their chaperones however that non-Muslims are dogs.

In a letter to the children’s parents, the school expresses its regret at the incident: “We are shocked that during the guided tour, the mosque’s chairman told the children and chaperoning parents that non believers were dogs. We consider this statement as unacceptable since we allow our children to partake in this project to develop respect for freedom of religious choice“.
Is this respect mutual? The Saudis did almost consider lifting the total ban on religious freedom within the Kingdom recently. Almost.
That one way street named "tolerance"...

There’s nothing like the smell of puppy breath.

Casey looks like a German Shepherd. They’re excellent dogs I’ve owned two both are in doggy heaven.
