This is getting comical.. after years of the MSM doing the "beat the drum slowly" bit on the "damage" GWB has done to our reputation in the "world". And all the Dimorat candidates pimping how they are going to "repair" said relations.. major European countries are electing pro-US leaders. First France.. now Italy.. Odd that they'd be electing openly pro-US Prime Minister's when we're continually told Europe hates us dontyathink??

We need to get Clara Peller in here... As with most agendas driven by the far left and MSM.. there seems to be less substance than their rhetoric merits.

    "Wheres the damage??"

Far Left Routed in Italy!!! Communists Wiped Out!

Another staunch Pro-American leader is elected to office in Europe!

Meanwhile the Democrats and candidates have pissed off more people in two weeks than Carter has pills.
    Piss off Columbians
    Piss off Canada
    Piss off Israel
    Piss off rural voters

    etc

Berlusconi is a corrupt slimeball. If I were Republican I wouldn't be cheering at his re-election.
Promote then, as an object of primary importance, institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge. In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.

Our own congress is chock full of corrupt slimeballs.... if I were a Dimorat.... I would not be so fast to call names.

I can't roll my eyes enough. People need to mind their own business. Focus on your own damn family and marriage.
So... if we "mind(ed) our own ******* business, those families would not get their $112 billion in subsidies... right? I'm for cutting waste, but I'm sure SOME of that money is going to deserving victims... don't you think?

Hey, if McCain pushes through a bill waiving the 24 cent/gallon diesel tax, that would be huge... that's cutting the cost of transport a nickle a mile or so! Every trucker in the country would become a McCainiac overnight 'nStuff.

Yeah, it sucks hardcore that your son killed himself. But, it's not the college's job to take care of your kids. That's your job and their own job. So your kid is suicidal? Do something about it, don't wait on someone else to.

I agree. I just dont get this movement that demands "they" [whomever they is] solve basic stuff.
Its getting more and more obvious that a large part
of the population has long forgotten any sense of self sufficiency/responsibility.

Reminds me of this...that I found when Fluff and I were talking about Jefferson yesterday am.

Which reminds me about this post. Im not fully resolved yet.
Im not so much of a history buff to conclude one way or the next.
But I conclude Jefferson seemed contradicted in his thinking.

    http://forums.pcper.com/showpost.php...ostcount=15650

I guess my point was that it seemed surprising that Rev Wright might use Jefferson
as an argument. All things considered.

Some of what Ive read from Jefferson? He sounds like a freaking
bigoted snob rather than someone wringing his hands about what God might think.

Imagine publishing that piece today? That blacks smell different etc etc?
    Jesus.

An odd choice for Wright to use to make his religious point. IMO

Wright uses Jefferson to make some claim that Jefferson [as an authority]
said God will get America for the slave issue
and a breath later damns him for being a pedophile [going to an unproved assertion Jefferson had children via a slave girl] seems rather inconsistent.

Yeah. And I wasnt picking at what you said at all.
That was good reading you pointed me to.

Im just baffled somewhat and that may well be simply a function of my weakness with history.

Gay couples having trouble getting divorced!
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080415/...us/gay_divorce
So the circle is now complete...

Is this how we punish gay couples? by forcing them to remain married? Im pretty sure this cruel and unusual punishment is a direct violation of the Constitution.
