^^^ Surprisingly.. the standard Outlook filter does a pretty good job.

Re: Rolleyes News of The Day

continuing my thought from Iraq thread. My comments about Ace and the format thing.

In one way? I like this format better.
I think the "comments" structure at typical blogs sucks.
But? Good blogs are recognized differently than we are.

Its the nature of the beast and I cant find a way around that format.

    Take a look at this

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/show...ritics-wa.html

    Look at the comments.
See friend Patterico's comment following mine.

See the rules[Im surprised they took my comment]

" If you have a TypeKey or TypePad account, please Sign In"

Have we said anything different? No.
But because of the form the topic is picked up by memorandum http://www.memeorandum.com/
[an aggregate spot] and only blogs/news joints are mentioned.
So we dont get any traffic as a result.

But I still think we are as good as most.
Just something I want to find a way around.

Anybody in his local Republican Party Caucus that approved putting an (R) by his name should be publicly outed... have their names posted and distributed. That guy is an insult to... dang, just about everybody... Just obscene.

Good God... this is the kind of stuff Obama thinks of as 'mainstream'?!? Ech. Read the Powerline Blog post, but do not listen to the audio clips before breakfast.

I can't help thinking about the Blues Brothers running them off a bridge into a river.

Re: Rolleyes News of The Day

Stephen Kautz, president of Ironstone Vineyards outside Murphys, said he saw damage in all grape varieties on 30 to 40 acres of grapevines he had examined, except perhaps cabernet sauvignon vines, whose buds had not yet fully emerged.

"I'm seeing from anywhere between 60 and 75 and up to 80 percent damage, and I'm hearing the same reports from numerous other vineyards in the area," said Kautz, who is also president of the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance.

He left water sprinklers going overnight on his grapes, hoping that would keep them from freezing. But with vineyard thermometers registering as low as 23 degrees early Sunday and 17 to 21 degrees early Monday, the water froze into long icicles that hung from the vines and grape trellises.
Ah, I don't know... his winery is just down the hill and up the road a piece from us. It got cold, but not that cold. If anything, we're usually 5 degrees colder than him. We never got below 30.

I 'spect he's lookin' for victim status. But now I'm curious... will ask around.

FWIW, nice winery. A big bucks fancy place.

Shoulda heard the MMGW claptrap being pitched on NPR this morning. A beetle in Canada is apparently reeking havoc on some pine trees... of course it was blamed on the warmer weather brought on by MMGW. Even thought the earth has cooled over the last 10 years. More "consensus" non-science rammed down the throats of the masses on the taxpayers dime.

Why listen to silly people like scientists when you should be listening to such reputable sources of learned information as bloggers?

The Bible's pretty big, but sometimes, you just gotta make up a verse or two on your own...

Pelosi or Reid... who's the biggest twit? That's a tough one.
