    Glad you like it...

Its gonna be a workstation... runing a couple (or a few) of those new-fangled 30" LCD's.

About keeping track... 40 cans of spray paint... For the rest, no, I haven't kept track because it would have made me stop. Probably three or four thousand bucks in parts and materials and yeah, hundreds of hours. It did inspire me to build a kick-ass little shop, milling machine, band saw, polisher, and lots of other neat, nifty stuff, though.

The whole thing is really a practice rum for building a hot rod from scratch. I'm not sure if its helped to that end or not. I've got this crazy dream of building a couple of hot rods with my son before he gets through high school. He'll probably wanna play clarinet in the band instead, but hey...

Here's my take... and its kinda easy game because in all truth, I despise John Kerry to the bone.

Some people spend their lives trying to be something they comjured up in their youth... in Kerry's case it was JFK. He failed. So now, the victim of his failure, has to prove his other endeavors which proved to be failures weren't that at all. So now he's gonna try them again. Remember, he met with the North Vietnamese, so its not a stretch that he's again visiting enemies.

I understand the media is portraying him as a "second fiddle" this time, but I think that's bulldung and that he's engineered the whole thing (might be my disdain showing). Its could also be a last ditch hail Mary at the whitehouse, which he presently has no chance at.

Normally I pretty much agree with most of what Lou says, but this whole war on X-mas thing that is being portrayed in the (right-wing) media is just friggin ridiculous. Maybe these tools should actually look at the facts before they write their op-ed pieces. For example:

    1) There never was a lawsuit
    2) The rabbi never asked or insinuated that the trees should be removed, just that it would be nice to see a menora that celebrates Hannukah as well
    3) Sea-Tac took it upon themselves to remove the X-mas trees, and once the backlash was felt, decided to blame this guy who was only asking that Hannukah be observed as well.

According to Lou, this guy was just a "rabid rabbi" who couldn't wait to file a lawsuit. Hmmm....well I just heard the guy on the radio and he thought the whole thing was way blown out of proportion....as a amtter of fact, when he found out they yanked down all fo the trees he was genuinely disappointed, as that was NOT his end goal.

    /rant
Yeah, the word he used I think was "appalled" that the trees were taken down.
    Nuke em'.

    ^^^ Gotcha... read that earlier...

On another subject, I've been kinda doubtful about Israel's ability to do something to Iran that's similar to what they did to Iraq yeares ago. Then I run across this: http://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/wo...l/popeye-t.htm

    Well, blow me down!!!

    I feel better now.

Update on the Duke rape case. I just heard this on the way home in the car.
Now we understand the prosecution misconduct charge.
It seems the lab that did the dna work failed to point out that three were 3 different samples inside/on the woman and NONE matched any of the accused players..or any players.
The DA can hang it up as far as Im concerned. He was compelled
    to reveal this info.

Now? Better news. They just started with the lottery here.
Im not a gambler particularly...Id rather fill the freezer than gamble. Anyway? I got gas and had a 10 back so I buy a scratch ticket.
And BANG. I win 5,000. I'll send the kids the ticket for Christmas....[lower tax rate for son] and he can split it with his sister.

^^Yeah...Id get wailed....so I figure son is student mainly...with low rate so..

And I wont buy another ticket. I know better.

More on the Duke thing in abit. Fox just got the story so it will be in print pretty quick.
The prosecutor has some real tough issues.

Ill get you guys some stuff I have on the issue...prosecutorial misconduct...there are entire books on the issue.
    From what I understand?

Suppression of Exculpatory Evidence applies here so it will get real dicey.

If you think of the civil equal? Think vexatious suits. Its in the same vein.

Wait a minute. Maybe I take back my earlier remarks about this "artiste"

As the story unfolds? He wasnt doing his "artwork" in class...but it stems from a youtube video.

    See here

"An art teacher has been suspended from his school, after footage of him painting with his buttocks on a TV show appeared on YouTube.
Stephen Murmer – who paints with his bottom, as a self-described ‘butt-printing artist’, under the name of Stan Murmur – was suspended for five days while authorities investigate the video.
He could also face longer-term, unpaid suspension.
The video comes from an appearance on the US TV show Unscrewed With Martin Sargent, in which Murmer appeared in a disguise, and demonstrated his bum art.
It was uploaded to YouTube in March, but apparently"

If thats the case? The ACLU is 100% correct.
There should be no "action" from the schoolboard around what this guy does in his "spare" time. If he wasnt doing this stuff in a classroom? Lay off.

We simply cannot go nail teachers for what they do when they are off the public dime.
They have the right to do this stuff away from the classroom enviroment and the expectations there.

I got a few cans left...

Nice car to keep, by the way.

Reminds me of the pat answer about cars I've used when asked, "What's it worth?"

    "Worth keeping."
