    CAS Latency?

    This RAM:

    http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...=BROWSE&depa=1

comes in 2 flavors that I see, both for the same price. The only difference is one is 2.5 CAS Latency, the other is 3.

What is the difference and which do I want? It's for an MSI K7N2 Delta-L MB. Won't be overclocking.

The higher the rating, the higher quality the memory, cas 2.5 is a higher rating than cas 3.0.................get the 2.5!

My bet is the cas3 will do cas2.5 if left at spd settings otherwise.
Don't blame me.... all I said was to get in before the lock.

It is recommended that memory not be run at "SPD" settings, run at 100% of FSB, set other memory options to "expert" and manually enter timings, start with 11-3-3 at cas 2.5, if all ok, move up to 2.0
