Should I rma my new mushkin lvl 2 3500?

Hey everyone just got my mushkin lvl2 3500 ram this morning. I poped it in and ran sandra at 220x11 and recieved a very low score(compaired to the kingston I had before) I scored a 3200...while before I was scoring almost 3500. I memtested the ram at 217 at 2-2-2-11 and I already have three errors and it has only been 15 minutes. Should I rma the ram...try using only one stick to see if one is faulty?

    Thanks

I would test it thoroughly, before making my decision, but it looks like the Kingston is kicking it a__!

Just got a Gig of that Mushkin today too....no memtest errors but 11x210 (11-2-2-2)@2.77 Vdimm, it was not stable in games. Stable now @2.9 Vdimm....My 2x256 twinmos 3200(BH-5) was the same way (loves high Vdimm) and is still going strong after a year of 2.9 volts (24/7)
Definately try one at a time to rule out a bad stick, and up the volts.

You were scoring 3500? at 220Mhz?
    That's 100% efficiency.

You should be getting more like 3300 @ 220mhz?

Test each stick..Try increasing ddr voltage a little.
If it doesn't shapen up, RMA.

    I wasn't getting 3500...I believe it was 3488 or something like that...right around 3500.

Well I just got back from shopping and it looks like santa gave me a gift early...in four hours I have 10 passes and 54 errors....ahhhh

I am gonna try each stick by it self and see what happens..

    any ideas?

    Thanks

I'm working with one stick of 521MB. I'm having some BIOS issues with this ram and my very picky Epox 8RDA+. I've got it set at 217 FSB, 2-2-2-11 at 2.9v right now. Still burning it in.

Try setting it at 200-210, 2-2-2-11, with 2.9v. Let it burn and see what you get. If it can't do 200 error free I'd say RMA it...

I have been letting it burn in since this morning( I have heard that I should run test 5 from memtest over and over). First off am I burning it in right? Anyone heard of what bios is the best for an an78x. I am running uber 1005. I am worried if the ram still is sucking cause I have heard that mushkin's rma service is poor.

I am just worried about them giving me crap because I bought the memory through newegg. I also have a hard time trusting their "we test every stick" line... I also don't have the scratch to cover the charge for the memory they are going to send me. At least on their forum customers are making it seem like they charge your for another set of memory and them when they get my ram back if they find it is faulty they will refund my money....frustrated...

    Halvie-

After a week or so of trying I seemed to have found a BIOS that will let me run 220 error free. Maybe that could be your solution as well.

What did you end up deciding?

the Mushkin lvl II has BH-5, so maybe u should try as high Vdimm as u can, and burn it in overnight at 217 2-2-2-11@2.9Vdimm. BH-5 is getting hard to get now, so think twice before dumping it. My BH-5 gives out at 222 2-2-2-11 at 2.9vdimm. WHen I give it 3.0Vdimm, I can go 227 2-2-2-11
