    Who remembers "Z"

Was at a friends house today, and he had his old 486 computer out, and was playing some games like Heretic, Hexen, and Z.

I couldn't believe it, I remember that game like it was yesterday, one of the first RTS, aside for WarCraft, and boy, did I bask in the moments. Makes me want to bust out my old computer, just to play some of those games.

Finding them might be half the battle.

I never played it (didn't have a decent computer when it came out) but I remember seeing artwork for it. That's the one with the robots that sat around on the beach drinking cans of crude oil isn't it?

I do remember Heretic and Hexen though. Hexen wouldn't really run at a decent framerate on the computer I had at the time, but that didn't stop me from trying to play it!

it was quite fast for a strategic game - no building bases - but rushing like hell!

i didn't like it - though the yalls were quite funny!

Smile I still have that game....

Its in box in cellar now but it was fun game to me. I played it a lot and got pretty good with organizing my troops.

The final map was fun. Especially when I had all the factorys captured and surrounded the enemy fort with heavy tanks. I'd keep the tanks back aways and wait for people to come out and BAM! Sometimes I let the enemy have one factory, then I'd surround that till vehicles came out and BAM! Oh man, good times

It did suck if the enemy started winning tho. It could go back and forth a while but if they got upper hand thats all she wrote
