Internet connection

its been a few weeks since I posted about my slow internet...its still kinda slow.


I had my modem connected through the Ethernet port, but when I got my Playstation 2 Network adapter I used the Ethernet port on the modem for the PS2 and connected the computer throught the USB...

Why do I get an icon saying "Safely Remove Hardware" on the Motherboards USB ports? I had it connected this way (throught the USB) with my old computer and I never got that. I dont get that icon if its though the ethernet port. I have 6 USB ports being used right now... the 2 on the motherboard are the only ones that have the "safely remove hardware" icon

I'm getting a constant flashing light on the modem. It used to only flash when its "thinking". I know when it wasn't flashing constantly I had a faster connection.
