hi all, just got this> MB MSI VIA K8T800 K8T NEO-FIS2R RTL CPU AMD 64 3200+ ATHLON 64 RTL 1x WD RAPTOR 36.7 HDD now i need to find some memory and a power suply, and that is why iam posting , also will use ATI RADDON 9600XT (powercolor) i want to use this comp for gameing ( using shuttle ak31, amd 1.3 tbird, 512ddr pc2100, msi gforce2 64meg, seagate baricuda 7200rpm hdd, now ) I can play most games just fine but i think the 4x max agp settings on mb wont do any justice with my raddon 9600 8x vid card, iam asking if anyone knows of what memory and power suply will work best with my new build? thanks, jim

How much are you willing to spend?

If budget is no concern, then I would buy the PC Power & Cooling 510 Deluxe, no questions asked.

As for RAM, I would go with some Mushkin Black Lvl II PC3500.

Now, if price is a concern, take a look at the Antec TruPower 480, or TruControl 550w.

And for the RAM, I would look at the Corsair XMS 512MB PC3700

Why are you not able to run 8xAGP?

In reality though, there is not much difference between 4xAGP and 8xAGP as long as Fastwrites are enabled.

Namek, you reply is exatcly what i wanted to know, thanks a billon. oh and Killeroy, my ak31 bios dont support 8x, ati raddon 9600xt only runs at 8x or 2x, might not make alot of differnce but 20 fps incress can affect my games alot. .AK31 kt266a ver.3a.

Radeon9600XT supports 4x AGP as well. Maybe you need to upgrade your Bios?

    Exclamation

I've had very good success with Geil on nForce2, Via and Intel chipsets. I have had especially good luck on the nForce2 platforms.
