    If you have a Volcano II did you remove the thermal tape and use thrmal grease or Artic Silver? I have had two Volcanos and removed the tape on both. The bottoms were not exactly smooth (as others heatsinks I have had like chromeorb). They are not scratched to where I could feel it or anything. Is this ok? willt he thermal goo fill in the gaps? or should I of used the tap?

    yup, I have one. Removed the tape and used Arctic Silver II.

    Works well enough to run a 1.0 266 @ 1360 (48º).
