    Adobe Flash player update

    http://isc.sans.org/diary.html?storyid=5929

There was also an update to Sun's Java JRE recently (6.0 update 12), so don't forget to add that to your patching list too

Thanks for the heads up !

Only problems was that the Java Control Panel told me that I had the latest version (jre6_11), so I had to visit the Java website to go and fetch update 12 myself and install it manually ...

Flash was no problem through the provided link / thanks

    Glad ya like.
Part II is coming soon. In writing it, I decided to add some more info- which
means it's taking longer to put out. At the same time, I'm building an
installation ISO for download so that non-Linux folks don't have to worry
about learning SSH and Linux command prompt commands to install the
    firewall distro I'll be discussing.

I'll also be including the settings files for import and a couple of Registry
hacks (For Windows systems) to force Internet Explorer to use the proxy
settings, AND to then lock-out the ability to change them- great for those
would-be-nerd kids some of us have.

What do you think of this multi-layered protection, being the hardware setup suggested here http://www.grc.com/nat/nat.htm and a software Firewall (ZA Pro) + Anti-virus program (AVG) for my WInXP system ?

    ( I 'm running this setup now )

You know, this stuff would certainly warrant a separate discussion thread if you guys really want to get into it - not that we mind discussions here though
