well i whipped KOTOR as the light jedi, going to go back and play as a dark jedi...but first...

    Temple of Elemental Evil

its not the biggest or best RPG...but it is very very good so far (just starting it)...classic D&D stuff.

my gf is hooked on Neverwinter Nights (and Hordes of the Underdark expansion)

Bard's Tale I, II, and III were the BEST fantasy rpg's ever I think

Wasteland (c.1987, Interplay) is still my all-time most favoritist RPG ever ever ever (its what Fallout is based on)

god i love post-nuclear stuff for some reason =/

Everything final fantasy on the snes, except mystic quest are excellent rpgs... also on the whole old-school 16-bit console rpg thing, i would recomend the phantasy star series for the genesis, pretty kick-ass stories, and the fourth one has combo attacks..., and super mario rpg of course, no one can doubt that one!

Hey I like this game, one of my all time favorites. One of the few games to go WAY beyond its predecessor. And I run mine at 800X600. Yes it's only 2D, but I'd rather play a nice 2D game at a decent fps, then a 3D which goes from 90 fps to 10 fps just by turning around. Actually, the best game I've played for performance was in many ways the halo demo. Only at 800X600 of course, but with the fps locked at 30 it was quite believable and real.

The best RPG i´ve ever played is Gothic2+Addon (Ravens night). It´s a mixture of Baldur´s Gate2 and Morrowind !!

Check out the official Website - look here
I played 3weeks (almost all Quests)

Give this great game a chance and u won´t be dissapointed

I'd have to say Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate 2, and then Throne of Bhaal (play them in that order). Long storyline. I enjoyed it. Others don't.

I'm back into NWN now. I miss not being able to drag around a group of 6, but it's a lot of fun.

But the one that got me hooked was Wizardry. The first one. Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord. That one prompted me to write my own on the Commodore 64, "Cire's Dungeon". Written all in BASIC and only buggy when your character in the 6th slot died. ehehehee... I still have that on an old 5.25 floppy somewhere...

    C-64C - WASTELAND and A Bards Tale!

The original and best of D&D and Post-Nuclear.

Got them both and many others that are C-64. This topic has made me come to the conclusion to drag the old Commodore system out of the attic to see if these games are as good as I remember. Right after I see if the heat hasn't killed everything...lol.
