Being the open minded person I am, I gave it a shot. Wow it seems horrible compared to IE.

Exactly what I was thinking. Ever since I switched to Mozilla's Firebird line, I have loved it.

Remember, if a page doesn't display right in Firefox but it does in IE it's not Firefox's fault. The page was coded wrong and the webmaster doesn't know how to code properly. To many people code for and only check in IE.

What rendering engine does it use and how standards compliant is it? Is it based on IE?

tried mozilla b4 when firebird came out and had problems with links disappearing

    just installed the new firefox....

FVckin 'ell its fast compared to IE!!!

more amazing 'cause i'm on broadband anyway.

If the rest of its as well developed then goodbye IE which i've always hated - sluggish as h3ll even stripped down

    MirAGe01..

I'm still using it after several days. Normally, it becomes so annoying that I uninstall it after a day or two. It's not as fast as IE 6 but now that the source code for nt and 2000 are out IE will be compromised much easier in the future so the need for an alternate browser is a reality not an option. My vote for FireFox!
