Being the open minded person I am, I gave it a shot. Wow it seems horrible compared to IE.

Exactly what I was thinking. Ever since I switched to Mozilla's Firebird line, I have loved it.Originally posted by MirAGe01 on 02-16-2004 at 11:42 AM

Remember, if a page doesn't display right in Firefox but it does in IE it's not Firefox's fault. The page was coded wrong and the webmaster doesn't know how to code properly. To many people code for and only check in IE.

I've actualy seen some sites that mozilla renders fine but causes IE to barf all over the screen.
Has anybody tried slimbrowser.
What rendering engine does it use and how standards compliant is it? Is it based on IE?

I'm still trying to figure out my FireFox won't cache my danged URL's that I type into the search bar....garrrr. I don't like typing in amdforums.com every time I come here.
hehe, I just broke FireFox tryiong to uninstall a plugin...seems like an uninstall feature would be fairly important.

I'm still using it after several days. Normally, it becomes so annoying that I uninstall it after a day or two. It's not as fast as IE 6 but now that the source code for nt and 2000 are out IE will be compromised much easier in the future so the need for an alternate browser is a reality not an option. My vote for FireFox!
