Are u refering to me? Actually I am rmaing it, my onboard SATA has been screwed up ever since I got the board, ive been using my promise card. I've been calling leadtek every week for 2 months and they've told me it will be in next week.....and I called to day and they had it and its being shipped out !! w00t!! Maybe it will be a new revision and i can make it go higher!!

I sure wish there was a 1.5x LDT Speed multiplier

Did you try the 2x HTT?

    Edit:
I fixed the motherboard list on page one. Need some more 300+

would enabling cool n quiet let me increase the HTT more? And i haven't tried 340mhz at 2x. I doubt it will work that would make the link speed 680mhz

oh and whats the max chipset voltage i should attempt on air?

I don't have the option to turn off C&Q in the BIOS, wish I did, don't need or want a voltage throttle I've set the chipset voltage to 1.8v from default of 1.6v, but it has active cooling on the SB. The LDT or HTT voltages will be very helpful. the default is 1.2v. I wouldn't go over 1.5v on that one....very bad things can happen.

    Albatron k8t800

multipliers = yes (lowest I can use in bios is 4x)
    cool and quiet = yes
highest fsb/htt = 400 in clockgen and 300 in bios

Also no divider kicks in for agp/pci at any fsb, I tried them all and prayed that one would... all I can do is hope a bios update brings one.

All you need is good memory and pray the agp/pci bus dont screw things up and you can overclock very good on this mobo.

CPU is on 1.55v w/ 224mhz fsb @ 2.24ghz and stable in prime95, super pi and all my games

Edit: I went cheap on memory and got the Corsair value select... its suprised me!! But I wish now I had got the Corsair XMS.

    Shuttle AN50R Board

Ok heres a little info on my board. I have a Shuttle AN50R and I'm running a AMD 64 3200+ on it. I really don't know what I'm doing, but by looking at some other people's settings and stuff I managed to get my HTT speed up to 243. I did this using only BIOS settings. Basically I set my LDT voltage to 1.7, the LDT speed to 2x, my CPU multi to 6x, and then cranked up the FSB as high as I could.

I really don't know how RAM dividers work (my BIOS doesn't have a setting, though you can change the RAM max memclock) so I didn't really mess with any of that. I'm only running 256 PC2100 (266mhz) so I'm guessing thats prolly holding things back.

Can anyone tell me what is a RAM divider (it has something to do with the ratio between CPU fsb and ram speed, right?) Also, what exactly IS LDT? It has a voltage and a multiplier value, so its gotta be a chip of some sort right?

If I knew what these things were, I might be able to tweak my settings a bit more and get a higher HTT. Sorry I'm such a noob lol but this stuff really interests me and I'd like to learn more. However most of the crap I've looked up on Google isn't very useful.

Elusive-dragon, since you have an AN50R, please be sure to post your settings so I can give it a shot too! Maybe I can learn a few things

Summary: I hit 243mhz HTT with my Shuttle AN50R and AMD 64 3200+. I have CPU multis in my BIOS, and the BIOS is Cool 'n Quiet enabled (but doesn't have an option to turn it off).

If anyone feels like giving a noob to OCing a quick lesson, I may be able to push it even higher. Also, would my crappy RAM limit my HTT speeds? I'm getting 1 gig (maybe 1.5) of PC3200 RAM in about 2 weeks, so if my RAM is being a bottleneck I'll try OCing when I get the new stuff.

quick note: in my BIOS, the HTT adjustment is referred to as "CPU overclock in mhz"?! However that is the number I was able to crank up to 243 (and showed up under HTT in CPU-Z). Can anyone explain this?

The memory lock doesnt work on my AK86-L.

It is really just a divider. You should test your real memory speed in sandra.

    240 fsb + ddr333 bios setting = 400mhz ram for me
