Got my XP-M 2600+ today! Default speed at first boot was only 600 MHz (100X6), but after a quick BIOS tweak I booted it up at 2400 MHz (200x12) using 1.7vcore. Been running Prime95 for about 2 hours so far with no errors. I'm getting the same temps as my XP 2500+ at 2200 MHz (200x11). Once I burn it in for a day or two I'll put the 120cfm fan on the heat sink, and see what I can max it out at.

    Very happy so far!
What stepping do you have? I was stable at 1.6 at that speed, and @ 2.3 1.55vcore. Intrested in what your stepping is though. And happy overclocking, keep us updated.

As to steelwill heat is holding you back along with maybe the PSU. Get that heat down first though. You got a chip from a great stepping though.

After some burn time I'll move it higher, At 1.7 VCore now.

    Update...

I turned off CPC and am now able to hit 240x10 1.8v. I think my temperatures are probably holding me back from pushing it harder - 54c at load . It's been prime95 stable now for 4 hours.

I think I'm pretty happy with this speed, not going to do much else unless I get better cooling.

Stepping is IQYHA 0348. Currently running 200x12 @ 1.65vcore P95 stable. My goal is to run 2.4 at lowest vcore possible, but I'll also post back with max stable OC when I find it.

Hey Fatdog6, are you using water cooling? Those are really good temps.

Using MCX462-V and Vantec Tornado fan I was able to boot into XP at 200x14, or 2800 Mhz using 2.1 vcore. It failed to run Prime95 for more than 20 or 30 seconds, but I was able to run Aquarmark, UT2004 demo, and several of the Sandra benchmarks. It wasn't as fast as I thought it would be, but I'm pretty FSB limited at the moment due to crappy OC'ing NF7-S. I shut the system down when the temps got up to 54c.

I'm currently still trying to get this Prime 95 stable at 200x12. At 1.675 vcore P95 failed after 28hours, which really pissed me off. Currently using 1.725 vcore, and so far so good. Getting around 48c load temps with a nice quiet fan.

    no im using air
ocz gladiator 3 on both rigs its cheap $20 all copper
requires a little lapping and the fans a little loud runs 5000rpm
but when mounted with as5 it preforms quite well.

btw I bet you could go 13x200 @1.7 2600 mhz like i'm at its a decent overclock
and it is a 2600+ chip

    Peace

Stepping is IQYHA 0348 SPMW ,,got it from newegg last week...

    Running 1.675 Volts 15X@167FSB=2513mhz

MB locks Multipliers at 15X BUT..it will boot to what I set in bios,,then ramps up to 15X

So much better than My Barton XP2500...These XP-M2600 chips can give those Barton XP3000- XP3200 a very good buddy to work out with :-) ... This 2.5Ghz with this XP-M2600 is better than my XP2500 2.12 GHz and it runs 3C much cooler at the same voltage! This processor isn't even affected by my the case temps unlike my Barton2500 did.. I paid $100 for a Rock solid increase of 400Mhz ... so much faster! Took me 2 days to say "Yes" get the chip... I'm Happy I DID
