Many years (like 8+) ago I did the same thing on a business trip. Packed it in the car and drove 5 hours to the business location. Every morning I would pack it back into my car where it would stay while I was working and then after work I would unpack it in the hotel room. That was a long time ago, very early in my PC gaming career. The games were quite a bit different back then.

Well I DID happen to receive AND install UT2004 last night so if I can free up 30 minutes I suppose I could hop on the server and lag around giving everyone some free frags

I also bought a GameCube last night, my first modern console, but that's mostly for my kids.

Just to save you from wasting time even thinking about trying ... UT2003 ran like a literal slideshow on my K62 500 Mhz with 384 MB RAM and Geforce 256 with 32MB SDRAM.

Better make sure your new notebook has a 3D capable card. I don't think that's a given even today with some of the cheap integrated graphics solutions that exist.

We need a mutator for 2K4 that will paint little Lenny kill signs over us, so we can keep track of just who kills Lenny the most.
Or a special Kill Lenny announcement, Instead of "PANCAKE!" it will say "DIE!!!"

I guess you are unaware of the server mod that has been running on the FF servers since the UT2004 full version was released It changes only your head to Martha Stuart with a big bullseye on your chest and a "I love Staples" on your back. Look at yourself in third person view next time you play online

I'm going to assume we'll have Beast. Is JG back yet? What about grimmster, WB, Pop Pip, Kami, RB, Mirage, and Coolme? We know Mirage and JG have the game. I think Kami would and same with Pop. Come tomorrow morning, if they haven't seen the thread I might be inclined to send out a few pm's/emails. Would that be appropriate?

Coda, don't count me as a participant. Seriously, my ping will be so high I'll be just be lagging around getting fragged. And to make matters worse my dialup connections have been worse than ever. For the past couple days I haven't been able to connect higher than 16.8k

My first love is Battlenet. Looks like I won't be selected to beta test WOW. Guess I'll go out tomorrow to get the UT2K4 instead then, although I find it boring fragging someone with 56K.
