When something seems to good to be true, it usually is. Paypal refund received, lesson learned. On to the next hot deal.

Bought a NF7-S board they canceled order. They tried to make it up by giving me 500 wiz points which are useless because shipping prices are insane.

Oh well that's life. 500 points is better than a poke in the eye.

Actually, I thought they way they handled it was OK. Few free points to bring you back to the site. Clean, smart. Gonna check em out now
I think so, too. I bought a refurb mouse from them last night and cashed-in my points for some T-shirts and pens with no increase in shipping costs

Gee people, at least they gave you 500 ewiz points. Maybe you can't do much with them, but most companies would have told you to go have intercourse with yourself! I'd say give them a break.

The biggest lesson in all this is that no one, and I mean no one, can beat the EGG!!!!!!!

resellerratings seems to have wiped off all the negative comments re: the NF7-S deal.
On 3/27/04, this merchant erroneously priced an Abit motherboard at $10 instead of the correct $100. The error was corrected within 48 hours. As per our published policies on price errors, the reviews relating to this error have been removed.
hmm too bad actually because I never even rec'd a cancellation email. when I emailed them yesterday asking why my order was cancelled (playing dumb) they sent me this today:

    Dear kenrippy,

We sent the following e-mail out to everyone who placed an order for the Abit Motherboard:

    Dear eWiz Customer,

On Saturday, March 27, 2004, there was an error in the pricing of the ABIT Motherboard (MB-NF7-S) on our website. The price of the motherboard was listed at $10.00 and should have been priced at $100.00.

We apologize we will not be able to process your order. As a small token, we are offering all those who have ordered this board 500 WizPoints (see http://www.ewiz.com/wp_prizes.php). You can redeem them for various prizes including PC hardware, t-shirts, and other promotional items. At the time of the release of this letter, the 500 WizPoints should have already been credited to your account.

You are a valued customer and we again apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused.

    Regards,
    eWiz Customer Care

Unfortunately, sometimes our e-mails are blocked as spam, so that might explain why you didn't receive the original e-mail.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for understanding. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    eWiz.com Customer Care
    Erin Frost
the EGG would have offered a little more than a weak excuse like spam filters etc. I most likely will not be visiting ewiz again.

Good! The merchant made a pricing error, they tried to rectify their mistake, and that's no reason for a bunch of cry-babies to post negative comments and potentially cause real harm to the store.
