    Re: Folding Frogs Whoohoo Thread

I wouldn't worry about it too much, like you I water cool, and I now have a fan which cools my memory and as an extra, blows more air in the cpu area (I also water cool the chipset, no airflow from there). My cpu overclock didn't improve at all, although the faster memory improves performance. I have added heatsink on the mosfets in the past, no help. And you have those wonderful metal capacitors.
So I don't think your stuff was overheating, there should be airflow from the normal fans, and psu, and as mentioned, the mosfets are within limits. You run into problems with volt modding and/or putting active cpu cooling (Ln2, peltier CoS etc) voltage loads into the cpu.
With voltages of 1.6v (90nm) and 1.7v (130nm) being max, ( I run 1.5, 1.55) arguably hazardous to you cpu you aren't going to produce enough heat for the mosfet temps to become any kind of problem. Yes, they might only last 10yrs, not 20, assuming they are of standard quality.

Good Morning WooHoo! It's sunny out and I've got my coffee. And the neighbors that let their 3 dogs crap in my yard are moving away in a week! Yeehaw!!

You lucky dude! I have no back yard. My house sits far back on the lot. All I've got is a big front yard, but part of it is blocked off with trees so the kids can play....

    Yahoo!

    Page One!

And I still have to get my Barton rig back on the air.

I have all the parts on my workbench downstairs.

Just need to have a couple of hours to put it all together.

Lots going on here with moving Mom into our house and selling her house.

    Running around like crazy.

But it is time to build my Barton rig again.

Oh and on Long Island it is cold still some snow left around and the whole family is home with colds and sore throats.

    Oh well.

    Perfect for rig building.

Maybe they will leave me alone for the rest of the day; you know wife and mother-in-law.

They were a little gristley, but with a nice basil, garlic and olive oil marinade the neighbors dogs definitely don't crap in my yard anymore.

    what a piece of garbage
spent 5 minutes trying to get it to melt some solder , this is after I freaked out when I touched it to the back of the mobo and saw a spark , then before I could get it to melt any solder I broke the tip with excessive force . Guess I shoulda picked one of those butane models I passed over 4 times looking the stupid cold heat one

edit -I know this is the woohoo thread , crap

OK my new rig is on the air!

I have my barton back up on the air.

So we have 4 processors running now.

    Two processors on my amd64 4200+ X2

    And my two bartons.

Now I have to mess around with getting my set up all configured properly through my Linksys router.

Then we put in the new 550W power supply on my AMD64 rig.

Then we can start tweaking them a bit.

    Yahoo!

All four processors are now folding.
