Anyone using a Mobile XP CPU on an AN35N Ultra?

    Well ?

If so, are you able to change the multipliers and FSB? What BIOS version?

Yep, latest bios, though I think it'd work fine with any bios version since it's just normal unlocking, not mobile-specific commands. It works just like my unlocked duron and 1800

Cool. thanks for the info. Was just taking my usual precautions and trying to find out as much as I could about it.

Figured it would but was wary that maybe the newer BIOS releases might recognize it and freeze up the Multi on it. What you're saying tho sounds like good news.

My mobile 2000+ ThoroughBRED can run 11 X 220 at only 1.50 Vcore. Not bad for only $63 huh?

nah nah nah, -----just kidding (Happy April 1st!!)

Seriously though, after looking at the price of a new A 64 board and CPU, I think I've just convinced myself to actually save a couple of hundred dollars by buying a mobile Barton instead (gotta rationalize this purchase somehow). I was considering a mobile Tbred due to its price, but am now leaning toward Excaliberpc's mobile 2500 with the guaranteed IQYHA 0348 stepping.

    It's all good.

    11x200 like nuthin' with an shuttle an35n-U / xpm2400+ / 1 x512MB Buffalo PC3200 CH-5. Just finished loading windowzXP.

running 1.6v on the cpu and prime95 is an hour in with no ill effects. I'll let it burn in there and get the AS5 loosened up a bit.

I'll post back tomorrow nite as I'll be puttin' the hammer to it with 1.8+v to see what it'll do.

Mine is setup as stated in my sig.

I did the OC in stages to make sure it was stable at each step. I ran Prime 95 7 hours without an error at this config. So these mobiles and this board get to 11x200 easy, from this point forward I will play with different configurations beyond the 200fsb.

I bought my mobile 2500+ from Newegg and like a dunce forgot to write down the stepping info before I put the system together so I have no idea what stepping my cpu is, .

I got my M-2500 to 2.5 on my Biostar, and the XP2500 to 220x9.5 on the Shuttle. I have them switched out now and am slowly going up with the Shuttle. I should get 235-ish easy with this shuttle and the M2500. I'll probrbly settle back down to a level that runs perfect all the time like around 220 with low vcore if I can.

I didn't even bother to inch it up. First boot was at 10x200/1.6v., loaded OS, updates and prime95, rebooted to 11x200 at same voltage, and then ran prime all nite there. 9 hours 53 mins, no errors. Just rebooted at 12x200 ( 2.4 GHz ) 1.75v and turned on prime. I'll let it run there all day while I'm at work.

This is with a cheapo coolermaster OEM fan/hs too !! The one with the little thin 60mm fan. HS is the big fat aluminum one with the 1" square copper plate screwed to the bottom of it.

These cpu's rock. Shuttle mobo has to be the easiest baord to setup on the market. I have another an35n-U that's been running an XP1700+ @ 10.5x210 / 1.6v (2.21 GHz) for over 7 months now and it NEVER crashes.

That's my exact stepping and if I go much over 2500 the system reboots while Priming. It could be temp related since I don't have a very good cooling setup, so let me know how far you get on H2O since I'm going to setup a water system as soon as I sell my 1800
