    Windows Explorer Crashing

I just did a fresh install of the 56.72 Detonator drivers, and everything seems to be running fine. But Windows explorer now randomly crashes after a while, and the error report seems to indicate the nvcpld.dll is part of the problem. Is anyone else getting this error?

If you are using OB sound on a Nvidia sound system then you may need to reinstall those drivers.

    Hi all
I'm having the same problem w/ Explorer.exe crashing, and reference to nvcpl.dll after installing the 56.72 Forceware.

    Specs:
    AthlonXP 2000+
    Abit KT7A-RAID
    768MB PC133 SDRAM
    Asus GF4 Ti4600 128MB
    380Watt Antec TruePower PSU
    WinXP fully updated.
No instability issues prior to now...

As best I can figure, I only score a crash whenever I open an *.avi in any player except Windows Media Player, which is pretty often.

I've tried disabling every flashy nView/Keystone option, I don't use multiple monitors, next on my list is to rollback drivers...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Windows Explorer Crashing

I have encountered the same problem with explorer.exe and nvcpl.dll of 56.72 version. I also have GF4 Ti4600 128MB (from Medion). And seems to be we're not along (see here).

I did as RMerlin suggested and rolled back to 56.64 version. It seems to be solved my problem.

    Good luck to everybody.
