Is there an easy way to pick between 2 mobile cpu's?

I have 2 mobile 2500+ bartons one is for a friend and the other for me. Is there a quick and easy way to pick which one is going to be the better overclocker. I'm building a system for him which will include the NF7-S, Corsair XMS 3200LLPT(2X512), Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro, SLK-900A, True 550. My system is the DFI NFII B, Corsair XMS 3200LLPT(2X512), ATI Radeon 9800XT, SP-97, True 550. I'm hoping there is a way to test them without going thru the full Artic Silver 5 and bolting the SP-97 down method to see which one performs better. Anyway, here are the numbers on the cpu's if that helps. Thanks for any advice you can give!

One cpu's wafer color is "green" and is stepping IQYHA 0346 VPMW

The other is colored "brown" and is stepping IQYHA 0347 TPMW

Can you also give the identification of your Bartons?
Just to verify the voltages and the packaging type...

There is another number, mostly starts with a "Y".......the last five digits, usually the lower the number, the better the overclocker it is supposed to be, but that only works if the numbers you provided are identical..............so back to the only true way, to test them in the same system.

Except the color, your Bartons are nearly identical, same stepping, nearly the same age, same model (1.45V).

No way to know without installing them, sorry.
I can just say that your stepping is a good one, quite popular here...

I second that with same stepping codes, the two are indistinguishable. You have to go through the full cycle (sticky AC5, hours and hours prime) to find out ... probably negligeable difference.

    Both should be good though.

Yes they are very similar, I think perhaps the Brown Cpu may be better, it is earlier in the silicone than the second, no.2.. as opposed to 1..

Both should be close tho so its up to you what you do...
