Re: Positive Experiences w. New AMD64 Driver?

No Positive here with WindowsXP and a Abit KV8. Install new driver, reboot Go into Bios turn on CoolnQuiet Boot into windows (remember I havent set anything in power options in control panel) Its working in a sense. Voltage has taken a dive as it should Pro is running at 800mhz ok run prime95 Pro is Still at 800mhz ok lets cook it leave prime95 running and load sandra burn in test as well .... Still at 800mhz ....hmmm check power option in control panel its set too desktop ok set it to minimal as per amd docs tell you ...same 800mhz (prime and sandra still running) ok turn the power option to "always on" (this worked with older Pro Driver) to put the pro at correct running speed Still at 800mhz ok stop sandra burn test and prime run sandra cpu test this is where I nearly fall of my chair laughing some pathetic score pops up Ok time for a reboot Turn of coolnquiet and all is back to normal.

So My Opinion .... Sucky Sucky Sucky hehehehe

    Regards

    Keith

I stand corrected, I thought that I had read that it was implemented in the CG stepping. I apologize.

You know, I'm the first to admit if I made a mistake and will accept correction. I don't think your response was necessary.
