Artifacts in gaming, shadows on icons out of gaming, 9500 Pro

I have a 9500 Pro. This just started happening today. I was in the middle of Farcry, and I started getting jagged lines, ripping kinda stuff. I rebooted and it went away for a while. Now it has vome back, and won't go away. Also. Now, when looking at certian things in XP they have a pinkish hue behind the placemarkers. Also, there are lines off color when the xp logo and moving line come on. I recently updated the drivers. Is my video card dying, or is it a bad driver install? I;m thinging dying video card. It DID, work fine, though before I started playing farcry 3 hours a day.

make sure the card's fan is still spinning!

Sounds like a heat issue....

yup,grab atitool and lower cloc kspeeds and see if it still does it..\pop a fan on a bracket on top,and another one in front if needed

I also get weird artifacts and lines in far cry, but thats the only time I see them.

The fan still spins. My case temps run between 85 and 100, depending on the day. I did not overclock the card. It's only a little more than a year old.

The problems began in Farcry. But now, Morrowind has the same problems when I play. It's like when you look at a mountain in Farcry, it's tiered, and every other teir shows sky instead of mountain. you know what I mean? And, with little glitches on the XP Startup screen/Cylon looking thing, , I reckon it's definitely the card.

I really wonder if it has something to do with stressing out the card on a directx 9 game. Farcry is more or less the first one, right?
