Disabling CPC is only needed for double-sided 512Mb ram modules. If you have 2 256Mb sticks, then don't worry about it.

Is this a stable SATA BIOS? I run a RAID 0 setup, and I don't want to corrupt my data. Any people have good luck overclocking with this BIOS? How's memory bandwidth?

Don't run Raid 0 off the onboard controller if you are worried about losing your data. I'm running Raid 1 off it, just because I DO NOT want to lose my stuff.

Well Rabbi, you are one of the few people who are confident with thoir Raid 0 setup. From what I've read you went through a lot of effort to find the bios and driver combinations that would be stable. Do you have your data backed up too?

    Re: Abit NF7 Modded Bios's

I've been running a SATA Raid 0 setup on an A7N8X Deluxe since Sept. 2003 with no problems. I hope it runs fine on the NF7-S I have now. If it doesn't its not because the SI3112 controller is bad, it's because ABIT's implementation of it is. . .

    cartmanea,
from what ive gathered the Post-D14 BIOSes don't have an issue with SATA RAID Corruption... but I could be mistaken.
I have always run SATA BIOS 4247 and RAID Driver 10040, i didnt have to experiment with any others because these have been flawless for me.
I do have a 60GB PATA drive with a backup of all my important stuff tho, and i hav a pile of CDs too... jus incase

    Re: Abit NF7 Modded Bios's

Well, I am using two 80Gb drives and I don't need 160 Gb so I'm using Raid 1 for the data security of it. I'm not too concerned about the enhanced performance of Raid 0 right now. At least not until I get a pair of Raptors

What do these modded BIOS's do? You have each version listed and linked to, but I have no idea what the differences are between them or what they do differently than the normal BIOS.
