    A64 3200 Clawhammer C0 0339

I am looking to overclock and match the topic processor with a solid overclocking motherboard. Has anyone had any experience or has heard of how these CPUs overclock? Looking to get about 2.4Ghz out of it.

Sorry for the vague question but just wondering if I would get good value out of the CPU.

really all depends on what mobo you're going to use. with locks, 240mhz HTT is common. without, it's a stretch - more due to no lock than the cpu itself.

Was gonna pair it with a NF-250 or a k800PRO motherboard.

Hopefully it will work out well cause I am giving up my current mobo and CPU for it.

There is still no verification of AGP/PCI locks on the K800Pro boards..

While there is no guarantee that any 3200 will make 2.4, a lot of them are, but I would say a stable 2.3 is more realistic.. And your best chance of doing it, will be with an NF3-250 board.. The Solid choice for now looks to be the MSI board..

    prodani12 sucks at UT!

The VNF3-250 is the board to get right now for overclockers. It has all the necessary features for overclockers and is under $100. The NF3-250 is the only chipset with a consistant working AGP/PCI lock and is the chipset of choice for OC'n.

Getting a general idea of how much you can overclock is tough because not very many people have a motherboard with a working AGP/PCI lock.

I would say you could get about 2.3ghz out of it. 2.4 is a very good overclock for that processor.

I have a 3000+ and im running it at 2.3 ghz now using stock cooling. It can go up to 2.44, but its not 100% stable.

I had a different 3000+ and it overclocked nearly the same.

I have almost the exact same stepping you do. I've pushed it to 2.4ghz with 1.55v. See system.
