As for Kami's cable - I think he still has it. But his server machine always runs from the DSL line. He has it separated from his network so that he can run it somewhat exposed

1mb ADSL here.. about 30 k/bs upload speed... but i only have one rig really (except my dads crappy 400mhz), so i cant really host servers yet

. but when i have enough spare parts il be building another rig for a web server, folding rig, gaming server. etc

I did the first post over to simplify things. I added an * next to members who are willing to host games if needed. If anyone else is willing to host please let me know. You don't need to be in the high bandwidth category to host games, you would just need to be aware that you are limited in the number of players you can support.

Well now that I have moved my 2nd gamer rig (XP2100/GF4) 2 miles down the road to my buddys house , I may be able to host sometimes . It gets 2870 down and 848 up to the LA test server at dslreports test site . Adelphia is the provider . Games I own that I could host include ;
Ravenshield
Athena Sword
Call of Duty
Call of Duty:United Offensive
UT2K3
UT2K4
BFV
Jedi Knight 2
Quake 2
Quake 3 Team Arena

I did manage to noodle out how to forward ports to be able to connect to RvS servers yesterday afternoon , Have yet to try to host anything or connect to anything else yet .
Really need to get the drives imaged over there so my friend or his son cant hose it and put it out of commission for any extended time .

Yes. You can also download the dedicated server for UT2004 which is free and separate from the game you own.
